E-Textiles Network Webinar – Integration of Energy Storage for E-Textile Applications

Presented by Nicholas Hillier, University of Southampton

The integration of energy storage within e-textiles is no longer a novelty, but a pressing research topic. Enabling better power management for e-textile systems, full textile and yarn based supercapacitors and batteries have seen significant advancement over the previous decade. This webinar will introduce the basic concept of electrochemical energy storage before focusing on material selection and design considerations. The current state-of-the-art and future challenges will also be presented to demonstrate how far the community has come, and where the future opportunities lie.

This webinar took place on Monday 22nd March 2021 1.30pm (GMT).
